CUE's Craft Corner
Ingredients and Materials
Nutter Butter Cookies (the base)
Tootsie Roll Midgees (for the toe and heel pieces)
Chocolate Candy Melts (colored as desired, usually pink or black)
Toothpicks or Paintbrush
Icing flowers (optional decoration)
Rolling pin
Wax paper or Parchment paper
Instructions
1. Create the Toe Piece
Soften Tootsie Roll Midgees in the microwave (5-10 seconds), roll, and flatten.
Cut a circle with a small cutter, then re-cut it into a half-moon shape.
Mold this piece over one end of a Nutter Butter cookie.
2. Create the Heel
Soften additional Midgees, shape them into heels, and mold them at an angle to fit the cookie.
3. Assemble the Heel
Melt chocolate candy melts and use a toothpick or brush to apply it to the cookie.
Attach the toe piece, then dip the heel in chocolate and secure it to the bottom of the cookie.
Place on parchment paper to dry.
4. Decorate
Once dry, use a dot of melted candy to attach icing flowers to the toe.
Tip: Briefly microwave Tootsie Rolls to make them easier to mold.
